What is the pro-life movement? On social media and in much of modern culture, it has become synonymous with restriction, limitation, hate, and bigotry. How dare one infringe upon a woman’s “right to privacy,” her right to do whatever she wants with her body? With the pervasiveness of “mob rule” and today’s growing intolerance for traditional conservative viewpoints, it is really no surprise that the pro-life movement has been reduced to such misleading and outright incorrect fallacies. But of course, it is so much more, yet quite simple.

I, like so many of our misguided youth, used to think that abortion was a human right. That a woman had the right to do what she wanted to do with her body. However, when I discovered the pro-life argument, my heart and mind were forever changed.

Here it is, in its simplest form, on the basis of science, justice, and morality:

Are the unborn human beings? (Yes, and they are living, distinct, and human from conception.)

Do all human beings have human rights? (Yes, and these rights are inalienable.)

Is the right not to be unjustly intentionally killed a human right? (Yes.)

No matter your religious views, objective morality dictates that abortion, the purposeful killing of another innocent human being is a wicked sin. Convenience, bodily autonomy, etc. do not justify murder. Abortion is a crime against human rights.

In order to combat the narrative against the unborn and the pro-life movement, I have recently joined Campaign Life Coalition’s pro-life groups and have committed my time and efforts to reverse this narrative wherever I can.

It doesn’t take much to be on the right side of history. We just need you to stand against the killing of innocent human beings. Science, justice, morality, the human race, and God are on your side.
