Our theme for the 2026 National March for Life is “FOLLOW ME

And He said to them, 'Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.' Immediately they left their nets and followed Him.(Matthew 4:19-20)

These are words that changed history.

"Follow Me" is first and foremost an invitation to be disciples of Jesus and fishers of men.

The pro-life movement is not just trying to save lives but souls too. We are not just trying to win arguments, but people, through the same love and compassion Jesus has for all.

"Follow Me" is an invitation whispered into the hearts of every new mom and dad to undertake a journey from womb to tomb—to watch in awe as their precious child sucks their thumb on the ultrasound monitor, takes their first step, speeds off on a bicycle, graduates, and starts a family of their own.

Isaiah 11:6 proclaimed: "And a child shall lead them." The Child of Bethlehem leads us still—and through Him, every child bearing His image becomes a signpost pointing us back to the Source of Life.

May we follow Him through every season and stage of life and every trial and tribulation, towards our ultimate destination and the promise of Eternal Life.

Finally, "Follow Me" is an invitation to follow our spiritual and pro-life leaders onto the Hill for the 2026 National March for Life.

"Follow Me" is an invitation every one of us can issue to our community to join us in Ottawa on May 14 and in pro-life efforts throughout the year.

When Jesus said "Follow Me," the disciples dropped everything. They didn't hesitate. They moved.

Not all of us are called to do pro-life work full-time, but we are all called to sacrifice for the cause. Take up your cross! We cannot continue with "business as usual" in the face of the human rights injustices of abortion, IVF, and euthanasia.

Can we not drop our nets for a day to be part of the largest annual pro-life demonstration in Canada?
